2016 OBITUARY: Marilyn A Garriott, 84, of Fowler, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 at Cumberland Pointe, West Lafayette. Marilyn was born June 10, 1932 in East Chicago, Indiana, to the late Russell and Myrtle Windler Thompson. She graduated from Freeland Park High School in 1950, and graduated from Indiana State University in 1954.
Marilyn married Max A Garriott on July 28, 1956 in Dunnington, and he survives. She taught at Gilboa Elementary School from 1954 to 1957, and at Sacred Heart Elementary School, Fowler, from 1958 to 1960.
She is survived by 3 sisters: Susan Carol Scheurich (Art, deceased) of Lafayette, Sharon Hardebeck (Don) of Wolcott, Barbara Sondgerath (Dennis) of Fowler, and several nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be at 4 pm, Sunday, November 6, 2016 with visitation to follow till 7 pm at Windler Funeral Home, Fowler. A funeral mass will be at 11 am, Monday, November 7, 2016 at St Mary's Church, Dunnington. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery. Memorial may be given to Sacred Heart School.
