     1999 OBITUARY: Juanita Hudson Garriott, 59, Sarasota, died July 28, 1999. She was born June 6, 1940, in Spurlock, KY, and came to Sarasota 28 years ago from Scottsburg, IN. She was a cosmetologist at Town and Country Family Hair Center. She was a member of Sarasota Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Baron and Karl, both of Sarasota; four sisters, Merna Gover of Kentucky, Nola Miner of Ohio and Beth Davidson and Vicy Davidson, both of Colorado; four brothers, Marvin Hudson and Asa Hudson, both of Kentucky, John Hudson of Indiana and Willie Hudson of Ohio; and five grandchildren.

     2009 OBITUARY: Dennis I Garriott, 70, of Scottsburg, Indiana, died Saturday October 31, 2009 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born April 12, 1939 in Washington County, Indiana, son of the late Colby and Marie (Simon) Garriott. Dennis was married to Wanda Laverne Garriott who died December 4, 2001. He was a retired installer and technician for the old Western Electric Company in New Albany, Indiana for 22 years and attended the First Southern Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. Survivors include a daughter: Tanya I Garriott-Roberts of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sons: Darren L and Troy I Garriott; three brothers: Ray and Bill Garriott both of Sarasota, Florida, and Jerry Garriott of Bradenton, Florida; two grandchildren: Sara Roberts and Darren Garriott Jr, and three great grandchildren: Araina Quiggens, Alan Glidewell Jr, and Darren Garriott III. Interment at Scottsburg Cemetery, Arrangements by Collins Funeral Home.
