1979 OBITUARY: The funeral mass for Gerald "Jerry" Bauch, 52, of RR 2, who died Wednesday, will be said at 10 am at St Patrick's Church. Mr Bauch was plant manager for Ko-Pac Inc. He died at Danville Veterans Hospital after a long illness. He was a member of the Momence Park Board, Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, & Galdiolus Festival Association. He was a Veteran of two years service in the Navy during World War II. He was born April 30, 1957 , in Benton County IN. He was married Oct. 8, 1949 to the former Barbara Jean Wilhite who survives.
Also surviving are three sons; Brian of Momence, John & Steven at home; two daughters; Christine Goold of Klamath Falls Ore. & Beth Mills of Momence; two brothers Eugene of Indianapolis, IN., and Basil of Lafayette, IN., and one sister Margaret Shepherd of Kokomo, IN.
The Rev William O'Shea will conduct the service & burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be visitation from 2-9 pm Friday at the Ruge Funeral Home & the rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. A memorial has been established in his name for the American Cancer Society.

2016 OBITUARY: (Derek Jordan Knowling) Roachdale resident. Son of Toby and Catherine Fischer Knowling. Married Kimberly Zaring June 26, 2010. She survives. Also surviving are children Kendall and Benjamin; parents; sisters Ashley Asher and fiance Drew Dawson, Katie and Jay Burdine; grandparents Herbert and Bonnie Fischer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents Theodore and Vera Knowling, aunt Rita Fischer-Tinch, and uncles Patrick Joseph Fischer and Theodore Knowling.
Graduate of North Putnam High School, where he was FFA president during his senior year. Studied surveying at Vincennes University. He pledged to Sigma Pi fraternity and held many offices. He began working as a land surveyor in 2006. In 2015 he achieved a dream by becoming manager of the Roachdale Gun Club. He began working there at age 13, where he developed his gift. He was a four-event national champion trap shooter.
While in third grade at Roachdale Elementary, he was nominated and selected to attend Purdue University’s Gifted Program and studied architecture. While there his class was filmed for a documentary from Taiwan. Memberships include Roachdale Christian Church, ATA, NRA, and Ducks Unlimited. He loved the outdoors.
Funeral Service 11 am Thursday, June 30 at Roachdale Christian Church with Pastor Braden Etchison officiating. Visitation 2-6 pm Wednesday at the church. Memorial donations to Roachdale Christian Church or the Roachdale Gun Club. Services & Morgan Funeral Home Roachdale entrusted with arrangements.

2018 OBITUARY: James Douglas Whistler, 66, of Otterbein, IN, died at 11:04 am. August 3, 2018 at his home. He was born March 13, 1952 in Williamsport, IN to the late James L & Beverly J (Wilhite) Whistler. He married Marilyn P Bickers on September 28, 1975 and she preceded him in death on August 24, 2003. He married Marilyn Sue Franklin on October 2, 2004 and she preceded him in death on January 28, 2018. James was a 1971 graduate of Benton Central High School. He was a custodian and musician, working for the Methodist Church. He was a member of Community Christian Church. He was a train enthusiast and his hobo name was Mr. Bojangles. James loved telling others about Jesus Christ. He loved music and performing at nursing homes.
James is survived by: Daughter: Laura Ann (Curtis) Whistler Thomas of Madrid, IA, 2 Sons: Matthew Douglas (Jennifer) Whistler and Donald James Whistler both of Otterbein, Brother: William Alan Whistler and Sister: Rebecca June (Bud) Turner both of Lafayette, 9 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. In addition to his parents and spouses, he is preceded in death by an infant son: Corvan Michael Whistler.
Funeral Services: A memorial service will be held at Noon, Friday, August 10, 2018 at Community Christian Church, 1944 S Jackson St, Frankfort. Friends may visit from 10 am until time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to assist with services.
