 1923 OBITUARY: Oliver T Nickey, retired farmer of Oakley, died at his home there at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. He was sixty-six years old last December. His death was caused by heart trouble and complications.
Mr Nickey was born near Oakley, Dec 20, 1856, and all his life was spent in that community. Mr Nickey and Anna Catherine Mentzer of Carlisle, Pa. were married Jan 17, 1880. To this union was born one son, Clarence Nickey. Mr Nickey again married Jan. 18, 1888, his bride being Mary M. Garriott of Clinton.
He is survived by his wife and one son, Clarence Nickey and two daughters, Jessie M Nickey and Marjie L Nickey. He also leaves a brother, William Nickey of Oakley and four sisters, Mrs JH McCoy, Mrs Carrie Wheeler and Mrs Joe Daley, all of Decatur and Mrs. JK Peck of Cerro Gordo.
The funeral was held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the residence. The services were conducted by Rev DJ Blickenstaff. The pallbearers were Walter and Troy Garriott of Harristown, Russell Garriott of Oreana, Ernest Braden of Maroa, Herschel Nickey and Ralph Harrouff of Oakley.

 1923 OBITUARY: Mary G Nickey, widow of Oliver T Nickey, died in her home in Oakley Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Funeral services will be conducted in the family home in Oakley this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The family requests no flowers be sent.
Mary Garriot was born near Allenville, OH Nov. 7, 1857 and with her parents came to Illinois in 1859. Her early life was passed near Maroa and Clinton. She was married to OT Nickey January 18,, 1888. She leaves two daughters, Jessie and Margie and one stepson, Clarence Nickey, all of Oakley; also two brothers, JR Garriott of Harristown and CL Garriot of Casper, Wyoming.

 2012 OBITUARY: Shirley Ann Garriott was born on June 14, 1940 and passed away on May 13, 2012 at 4:05 pm, surrounded by her family with love. A viewing for Shirley will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Bustard's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 4:00 pm. Interment will follow services at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Shirley was born to Tod (James Arthur) Garriott and Hazel (Fern Duncan) Garriott. She is preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband, Wayne (Pops) Triplett, son Robert Wayne Harold and daughter Eslie Mae Owen.
She is survived by her children: Montana Jean Dupree, Clan Aurthur Triplett, Roberta Nevada Rose Exley, KC, Jo Donovan(daughter/neice), her boyfriend, Russell Buatte; 16 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
May she rest in peace with our Heavenly Father.
