1951 OBITUARY: Wesley H Garrett Is Taken by Death. Wesley H Garrett of Milton-Freewater died in a local hospital Tuesday evening. He was 56 years of age and had been an area resident for 12 years.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters, James Garrett of Sunnyside Road, OR, Robert Garrett of Milton-Freewater, Dorothy Potter of Sunnyside, OR, and Jessie Garrett of Los Angeles.
1971 OBITUARY: Creamer- Ernest H, age 80, of 1105 N Edwards, passed away April 17, 1971. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am. Monday in the Chapel of the Broadway Mortuary. Rev Ted N Swope of the Bethel Baptist Church, will officiate, assisted by Rev Michael Schepis of the Grace Baptist Church. Interment in the Resthaven Gardens of Memory. 1977 OBITUARY: Floyd R Aue, 64, of 8609 Kessler, Overland Park, died Saturday at the Veterans Adminstration Center, Leavenworth. He was born in Sheldon, MO, and had lived in Kansas City area 51 years. He was a self-employed lathe operator before he retired. Mr Aue was an Army veteran of World War II. He leaves his wife, Mrs Lanair Aue, and a daughter, Miss Merrill Aue, both of the home, his step-mother, Mrs Pearl Aue, Olathe; and six sisters, Mrs Gladys Mulich, Mrs Lois Miles and Mrs Nina Calhoon, all of Kansas City, Kansas; Mrs Agnes Streich, Houston; Mrs Elsie Hart, Oklahoma City; and Mrs Dorothy Harrell, Olathe.
1981 OBITUARY: Hugh Creamer, 66, of 117 N Robin Road, retired contractor, died Monday. Service 2 pm Wednesday, Metropolitan Baptist Church. 2009 OBITUARY: Alice M Pratt, 96, of Hutchinson, died August 15, 2009, at Elm Grove Assisted Living Center in Hutchinson. She was born November 22, 1912, in Sheldon, MO, the daughter of Earnest and Jessie Aue Creamer. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Westbrook Baptist Church. She married Lester O Pratt on October 13, 1930, in Winfield. He died July 23, 1992. Survivors include: a son, Richard, Lindsborg; a daughter, Joyce Burch, Hillsboro, IL; two grandsons, Lester and Brad Reed; and two great-grandsons. Graveside service will be at 1 pm Monday, August 17, 2009, in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Bob Shelton presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 am to noon Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
